Gardening under Norway Maples (they said it couldn’t be done, but I did it! The garden space below is about 5 feet from a large, established Norway Maple). I wrote about it here.

Garden travel. I have a seemingly insatiable desire to visit gardens. I had the good fortune to visit some iconic gardens in Britain, and wrote about both planning the trip (which might help you plan yours!) and observations from the garden visits.

Strategies for maximizing space are important when one’s garden space is limited. I wrote about some ideas I have implemented to pack as many plants into my space as possible. Below, you can see my tall garden phlox and daylilies growing up through the Rhus Typhina (staghorn sumac) “Tiger Eyes”.

I have contributed to Fine Gardening magazine’s “Garden Photo of the Day”; in two different articles I described how I augment my perennial garden with annuals, and how I “go shopping” in my garden to procure additional plants for my pots.

I found the rumex (dock) and carex in my perennial garden, and added the caladium for more color and ‘pop’.
